I never thought that at the age 67 with 35 years of personal development that there was any more for me to know about myself, but I was wrong.  This past year I have learned how to be more content because I learned what stood in my way of being able to live life with ‘choice’ instead of in ‘reaction’.   My Enneagram type is Perfectionist. Before I discovered my Enneagram type I was focused on what was right, what was wrong, seeing the world as black or white.  Setting standards for myself and those around me that were unrealistic.  Thinking it’s 100% or nothing. I was suffering when the world didn’t fit my view of what it should be but I didn’t know why.  After learning my Enneagram type and working through the process which identified why I ‘reacted’ I am able to accept that less than perfect is good enough.  What a relief!

What is the Enneagram?

The Enneagram identifies nine personality types. Each one possesses its own set of characteristics and its own way of looking at the world. It’s as if each personality type has its own pair of lenses with its own special color. Under these circumstances, and without noticing that we wear those filters, most people go through life fighting with one another to try to establish “who’s right.”  This is similar to the situation of a fish in water. If the fish could answer the question, “What’s life like in the water?” it would respond, “What water?” That’s how we perceive the world when we are on autopilot or in reaction, completely taken over by our type, without even knowing that it exists. Why is it so important to discover our type in autopilot? It is key for living life from a place of true freedom for uncovering the real reasons behind our lack of satisfaction and fulfilment for achieving lasting change to setting realistic expectations of the world, ourselves and the people in our lives for defining challenges in solvable ways for both psychological and spiritual growth for attaining our potential, unleashing our true gifts and making a contribution to the world

Enneagram Process

The Enneagram provides a unique view of our personality – our strengths, weaknesses, needs, fears and potential.  Therefore the map to take you on your journey is not a one size fits all.  Each type is provided with specific tools for self- observation which helps you understand how you tend to react or live in autopilot.  From my experience this is where most programs end, observing what is wrong but not guiding you to the next step.  Using the Enneagram process you will learn and practice new skills with the guidance of an Enneagram coach.  This Enneagram process is based on the belief that because we are human, that on our way to success we will stumble, fall and get up, sometimes many times.  Our obstacles may be external ones but they are mostly internal ones.  Therefore it is important to look at the big picture, to see all the elements involved in our personal development.  Seeing the big picture is like looking at a building, it is only as good as its foundation or it will collapse.  An Enneagram coach will help you stay on course to build your foundation.

Building your foundation to success with the Enneagram

Coaching Process:

Phase 0 - Awareness - Learn about yourself and what causes you to respond in autopilot (reaction). Phase 1 - Goals – What do you want to achieve for yourself?  What don’t you want in your life anymore? Phase 2 – Commitment – Now that you see where you are, why you have your problems and where you can be, it is time to commit to learning new skills. Phase 3 – Developing new skills for repatterning. When we know our patterns we develop ‘choice’. Phase 4 – Tips for working on relapse prevention.

Testimonials

"Journeying through the Enneagram with Raymonde as my coach was a very powerful and positive experience.   She was able to guide me through well laid out phases, explaining each step clearly using terms and language that easily related to my life.   I so appreciated Raymonde's attention to detail and non-judgemental approach.  The whole experience with her has given me new awareness in my day to day life and a much deeper understanding of myself.   Thank you Raymonde!" Type Two – The Helper “I believe the main thing that I have learned about myself throughout this process is that I need to take time for myself and to live in the moment. To take the time to consider the conversation before responding and not react to what has been said regardless how many times I have heard it.” Type Seven – The Enthusiast
